David Viscomi, PTA

David grew up and started his career in upstate New York. He received his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Maria College of Albany, NY in 1989. David and his family moved to Maryland’s Eastern Shore in 1996. He has spent most of his career working in outpatient and acute rehabilitation hospital settings, treating a variety of patients with orthopedic injuries as well as cardiopulmonary and neuromuscular dysfunctions.

David has developed over 30 years of specialized skills in the treatment of post-operative orthopedic surgeries, sports and work injuries, orthopedic disorders, and myofascial pain syndromes. He utilizes his manual skills of trigger point release, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, and joint mobilizations along with therapeutic exercises to help patients achieve pain relief and improve functional mobility. David utilizes his skills and knowledge to treat patients with dysfunctions of the spine, ribs, sacrum and pelvis, and the extremities. He also focuses on educating patients on improving posture and body mechanics.

When not working in physical therapy, David enjoys spending quality time with his family and pets. He loves to spend his time being physically active in many ways-exercising, gardening, landscaping, walking his two dogs and going to the beach.
