Our Team

Josh Hefta, PT, DPT

Josh earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Maryland. Prior to his doctoral training, he completed his undergraduate studies at McDaniel College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. He also played four years on the McDaniel lacrosse team.

Josh has experience treating in outpatient, athletic, neurological and in-patient hospital rehabilitation settings. Josh values the 1-on-1 treatment approach that Delmarva PT offers; this allows him to spend time understanding the root causes of injury, personalizing recovery and building relationships to promote overall health and well-being. Additionally, he enjoys rehabilitation and injury prevention of athletes and active adults, post stroke care, improving quality of life in older adults and balance rehabilitation. Josh is dedicated to integrating current research and maximizing the benefits of this care on quality of life. He firmly believes in a collaborative approach to achieve the best patient outcomes and meet his patients’ goals.

In his free time, Josh spends time with his wife and two dogs, travels and focuses on staying active. He also enjoys weightlifting, hiking, kayaking and continuing to play lacrosse.
