Justin Yerkes - Delmarva Physical Therapy

Justin Yerkes, PT, DPT

Justin earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.  Prior to his doctorate training, he completed his undergraduate studies at McDaniel College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education.  He also played four years on the McDaniel football team. 

Justin has practiced physical therapy in both outpatient clinical care and in-home rehabilitation. These experiences have provided him with a diverse skill set to meet the needs of patients from many different backgrounds and ages. In his current role, Justin values the ability to spend quality time with patients and aims to understand their motivations for seeking therapy. Justin enjoys rehabilitation and injury prevention of athletes. Additionally, he is dedicated to working closely with physicians to address appropriate post-surgical rehab as well as using manual therapy techniques and patient-specific exercises across the lifespan.  Justin continues to stay up-to-date on the latest treatment techniques with ongoing continuing education.  He believes that using current research is key to successful rehab and achieving patient goals. 

Outside of the office, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.  He enjoys traveling and completed a medical mission to Costa Rica during his physical therapy training.  He continues to stay active by weightlifting, fishing, hunting, and golfing.
